This is silly: I am writing my first blog (in which I intend to document my new found dedication to creating more art and changing my life) and Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" just began to play on my computer. So I guess I'm asking myself to change my ways, as well.
What do I want to get out of this? I want to be able to share my inspirations and ideas behind the pieces I create. I want to hold myself to consistent creativity for once, and to constantly push myself. I call this process "lighting a fire under my ass".
Creating an image in cyberspace is still odd to me. Even after years of Facebook, Myspace, LinkdIn and other social networks, I never really understood blogging. So this is how I am tackling my blog ignorance.
Shall I share something creative for this first blog?
Allow me to introduce to you two of my absolute favorite blogs.
My good friend Cristy Davies is fabulous embroiderer and great story teller: http://www.lotsofneatstuff.com/
Elsa Mora is an amazing artist who constantly explores new media. I especially love her paper cutting blog.
